The architectural student workshop has been well established as an annual event in Malaysia for more than three decades with the initial Architectural Student Workshop was hosted by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in the year 1987. The first workshop with specific theme was introduced by University Sains Malaysia (USM) in 1989. Eventually, the architectural workshop became a prestigious annual event, passing on the responsibility of hosting and organising the event from one institution to another. The events have been proven as a great melting pot in nurturing leadership, challenging architectural design proponents and boundaries among architecture students .
The 31st Architectural Students Workshop 2019 is intended to ignite the FOURTH CYCLE of themes in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution with xxx!nyala (read as "the thirty first is NYALA").
xxx!nyala aims to become an arena of creativity through the exposition of talents from all over the country and abroad via a common platform for active networking amongst the participants, practitioners and the public by engaging with the following activities;
